A fierce and powerful creature was the Black Boar. This huge beast played a massive role in shaping ancient Irish history. Famously the Black Boar killed, and was killed by Diarmuid the warrior while he answered the challenge of his arch-rival Fionn Mac Cumhaill on the mountain of Ben Bulben in County Sligo.

The Black Boar has come to represent resilience. Fitting then that The White Hag’s black, silky Imperial Oatmeal Stout should carry the name of one of ancient Ireland’s most notorious icons.
